The Winnetu Oceanside Resort on Martha’s Vineyard and The Nantucket Hotel & Resort on Nantucket are two classic New England beachside resorts, and are both among the highest rated luxury hotels in the country. When Gwenn Masterman Snider, Owner and Director of Interior Design & Retail at The Winnetu and The Nantucket, first approached Resource Furniture, she was in need of an elegant transforming furniture solution that would not only maximize space for guests, but that would also blend effortlessly with the properties’ clean, coastal design scheme.
“We pride ourselves on fulfilling people’s dreams of their ideal family vacation when they arrive,” says Snider. “Our suites at both properties are designed with clean, comfortable beach living in mind. Since we cater to families in the summer season, often serving multi-generational gatherings, I searched for a way to accommodate many people without cluttering the room with rollaway beds.”
Snider says that beds are not only great for families with kids, but also for adults — whether hosting a girls’ getaway, bachelor or bachelorette party, or baby moon, the ability to instantly reveal an extra bed has proven extremely useful for large parties.
